QUERINI STAMPALIA FOUNDATION – VENICE ITALY

Museum and Library Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice, Italy, in 2017 was seeing their sales of tickets decreasing as well as was attracting less and less visitors to the library.

Through the design thinking methodology, applied with the help of the students at Ca’ Foscari University, together with the Museum and the students, I redesigned the experience of the library to make it more accessible also to students of disciplines like architecture and design, that prior to this analysis didn’t visit the library because were missing spaces structured for their projects. Also we designed a space for people who wanted to work from there, and could benefit of the richness of the library. This was the first project in Italy of Design Thinking applied to a museum and library.
